Willey Staircase Abstract

The historical Fan district is known for it's beautiful archectiture. High ceilings, crown molding, beautiful wood floors, the list goes on and on! High ceilings provide an opportunity to hang large abstract paintings! Mollie Willey reached out to me to help her with the large space over her staircase which is a focal point in her home.

We scheduled a consultation and I came over to her home. She had a beautiful blue throughout her rooms.

When I saw her windows in the dining room across from the staircase, I knew what the painting would be. A triptych.

For my clients to be able to visualize how their painting will look on the wall, I like to use tape. Such a sophisticated technique!

We agreed the blue would be the best main color for the paintings. Along with the grey and beige neutrals through the home. It was exciting to paint something so large and in 3 parts! Here it is finished in my studio.

Rob helped me deliver the finished paintings.

Feels so wonderful to have excited clients get their paintings. Best part of my job!

We had professional hangers come install the paintings. It was so impressive to see how fast they worked!

Mollie was thrilled how this turned out! It has made a great impact above the stairs and in the home. Thank you Mollie for this commission!
