“Every day I discover more and more beautiful things. It’s enough to drive one mad. I have such a desire to do everything, my head is bursting with it.” —Claude Monet

En Plein air, or Plein air painting is painting from life outdoors. I love to be outside, spend time with my paints, still my mind and take in the beauty of nature. Chasing the light, is commonly how artists describe Plein air painting. Focusing on the ligh forces me to let go of over thinking, paint faster and trust my quick brush strokes. In these moments of just my beautiful subject matter and paints I let go of all the extra noise and am never happier.
